Please support us in improving communication between school and home by ensuring that we have your email address - for both parents/carers. Email us now at westburyparkp@bristol-schools.uk stating your name and your child's name. Thank you.

If your child needs an inhaler or an epipen, school should already have these on site.
If your child needs some
medicine on an occasional basis then this must be sent into school in its original packaging, with the prescription still on it, and given to Mrs Pepper in the school office to administer. Your classroom teacher will not be able to administer  medicines.

Welcome to Year Four

Mrs Gillman, Mrs Moore, Mrs Burgess, Mrs Dean

Hello and welcome to Year Four.

Year Four is the best year in the school with the best teachers; Mrs Moore, Mrs Gillman and Mrs Burgess - and the best Teaching Assistant, Mrs Dean.

We work hard and have fun, but best of all we have an overnight trip in the summer.

Please take a look around our web pages and come and see us - even if it’s just to say hello.

Carousel, literacy and maths learning takes place every morning, before and after morning break.

Reading: Please continue to encourage your child to read aloud to you at home as often as possible and write the names of the books they read in their Reading Record.

We recommend a mixture of independent reading, reading with and reading to your child for 15 minutes per day.

Spellings: Spelling lists will be handed out at the beginning of each term and words will be  tested every Friday.

Times Tables: Please encourage your child to learn their times tables. Weekly times tables challenges take place on a Tuesday afternoon. These are designed to help the children develop confidence using the multiplication and division.

Please view 'Help with Times Tables' page.

Later in the year: We will also send home another piece of homework to support their learning. This could be another literacy or numeracy based task or topic related.
